Best (vegan) porridge with fruits for a road trip

Having a good breakfast is such an essential part of the day – at least for Fiana. But when you are on the road, you get sick of only having cereal with milk. Today, we share our favourite warm (vegan) porridge with you.

Ingredients:

  • Oats
  • Milk or milk alternative
  • 1 tsp raisins
  • Fruits (p.e. 1/2 apple and a 1/2 small pear)
  • Cinnamon
  • Optional: sugar
When you are travelling in a van, having a warm breakfast porridge is the best.

Instructions:

  1. Cut the fruits into little pieces.
  2. Put the oats, the milk and the raisins in a pan and bring them to cook. When they are cooking pull the heat down, add the fruits and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Once they are done add some cinnamon.
  4. If you want it to be sweeter add some sugar but it’s not necessary as the raisins and the fruits are already sweet.
  5. And now enjoy your breakfast that’s not as your usual breakfast just bread and muesli.

Tip:

Don’t use too many oats as they might get more volume while cooking than your normal muesli.

And if you want some bananas in your porridge better add them at the end ’cause some fruits shouldn’t be warm at all.
